来自官网的消息，热刺学员队最终以亚军成绩结束了在比利时举办的欧足杯锦标赛（Eurofoot tournament）征程。

在上周日早晨进行的半决赛中，热刺以2:0击败了凯尔特人——保持着开赛以来的6战6胜——但却在决赛中以0:2败给了来自巴西的博塔弗戈。

孩子们在上周五和上周六进行的前5场比赛中取得全胜，从而以B组第1名的身份挺进半决赛对阵凯尔特人。

Harry Kane在上半时为我们先拔头筹，在此之前，Kudus Oyenuga接Tom Carroll的倒地传球差点破门，可惜被对方门将奋力扑救出去。

在比赛的最后一刻，Kane在禁区角主罚任意球直接破门，令我们以2:0锁定了决赛的席位。

教练Alex Inglethorpe赛后说道：”We played well and were in control throughout, Celtic didn’t really have any opportunities.”

决赛在英国时间上周日下午3点正式打响，不幸的是，Alex在本届锦标赛第一次说出了对于孩子们表现不佳的话语。

博塔弗戈在上半时第15分钟便率先破门，Shaq Coulthirst将我们门将之前的优异表现化为了泡影，巴西人在下半时完场前5分钟攻入第2球锁定了胜局。

Alex说道：”We just didn’t get going. Botafogo scored early on and even though we enjoyed plenty of possession and put in plenty of effort, we couldn’t create a clear-cut chance. It was a real shame but the final didn’t get near the levels of our other matches. I can’t fault the lads though. To win six out of six before the final was a real achievement and as a squad, the players will have gained a lot from the tournament.”

在之前本周五的小组赛揭幕战中，孩子们在奥斯杜因科克（Oostduinkerke）的头两场比赛中就取得了全胜。Cameron Lancaster、Kudus Oyenuga和Harry Kane（见照片）各入一球令我们以3:2击败了布鲁日俱乐部。随后Kane再次建功，越过对方门将将全场的唯一入球球送入网窝，我们以1:0击败了来自荷兰的NAC俱乐部。

教练Alex Inglethorpe在本周五的报告说道：”We got caught a couple of times defensively in the first game but played very well in the second match, dominated possession and deserved to win.”

本周六，我们的年轻小将们再次继续着连胜的势头，先后击败了安德莱赫特、标准列日和布隆德比，从而在小组赛阶段五战五胜排名B组榜首。他们将在本周日与A组的第二名凯尔特人进行半决赛的较量。

Alex的喜悦之情溢于言表：”It’s the first time we’ve won five straight games in a six-team group. Fair play to the lads, they’ve been outstanding. That was the best performance so far, as good as anything I’ve seen.”

今天当地时间上午11:00，半决赛就将打响，两场比赛对阵的双方分别为：博塔弗戈 vs 布隆德比；托特纳姆热刺 vs 凯尔特人。下午13:30~15:00，争夺3~11名的比赛将以此逆序进行。到了傍晚的16:00，两场半决赛的胜者将会师决赛。

我们在揭幕战中以0:5惨败于博卡青年使得我们付出了巨大的代价，但我们在本周四找回了状态，并击败了东道主球队FC蒙泰。

但是只有击败泽尼特才能确保我们取得小组头名，而这是我们过往两年所一直保持的成绩。

现在，我们只能与其它小组的第3名球队角逐5到6名的名次，比赛将在本周日进行。

尽管在比赛中落后于俄国人，但孩子们逐渐水平回升，在Adam Smith和Alex Pritchard的逼迫下，对方防守球员不甚攻入了一粒乌龙球。

从这时起，我们是唯一一支看起来能够获胜的球队，直到泽尼特再次将比分反超，Ryan Mason后来的入球已经为时晚矣。

学院队主教练John McDermott说到：”We hit the post, the bar and had a host of chances but got hit on the counter-attack twice, which is very frustrating. But it was our best performance out of the three by a mile – I thought we were excellent. A number of the lads put in outstanding performances.”

Kudus Oyenuga had a one-on-one chance saved, he was then denied again by the keeper and perhaps might have done better with a headed chance from Paul Jose M’poku’s cross. Cruzeiro scored again but we hit back straight away when they were penalised for handball. Jake Nicholson tucked away the penalty and at 2-1, I felt we were in the ascendency. The second half continued the same way and we got ourselves into some great positions for shots and crosses but we didn’t capitalise. They scored a third goal as we looked to commit players forward but we still managed to hit back and win another penalty but Jake hit the bar this time. It was disappointing because on the balance of play, I felt we deserved more. I thought we were excellent. We were playing a top Brazilian team and you would expect them to have a lot of possession but if anything, we were more technically efficient. It’s a shame to go out at this stage but the lads have been superb. We’re the youngest squad in this age group and we’ve picked up a couple of injuries along the way but the lads have worked hard. They’ve been outstanding. Remember, we’ve played four 90-minute matches in six days in 80 degree heat against top, top opposition. For this young group to have got this far is a fantastic achievement.”
